The All Progressives Congress, APC, on Monday, declared intention to meet with the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, following the postponement of this year’s general elections.
National Chairman of APC, Adams Oshiomhole disclosed that the ruling party would write to INEC’s chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, on the need to meet “one-on-one” with him.
The former Edo State governor made the disclosure during APC’s emergency national caucus meeting holding in Abuja.
He also urged the electoral umpire to ensure that they have spare Card Readers ahead of the rescheduled elections across the country.
“We are going to write to INEC and demand a one-on-one meeting with INEC, not that of 1000 people in a conference hall.
“They need to re-earn our trust every step of the way. We don’t want staggered elections, we want same all across the country. There is need for spare Card Readers,” he said.
