The Jigawa state Governor, Muhammad Badaru Abubakar has stated that the elections in Jigawa State is the most peaceful election ever recorded across all states of the federation.

Abubakar stated this while receiving the formal report of the 2019 general elections presented by the 2019 campaign council at Manpower Development Institute, Dutse.

He explained that the conduct of Jigawa state election is best in the federation as there was no report of violence nor was election misconduct recorded from the beginning to the end of the elections.

He said the election petition tribunal court have gone back empty handed without recording any complaints from any of the party or candidates challenging the APC victory in the state.

Badaru said the development is a clear indication that even the oppositions have agreed with the victory of the APC.

He declared that Jigawa state is the only state where 55 per cent of eligible voters came out in numbers to peacefully cast their votes.

He, however, stated that the victory is testimony that the people of the state have trust in APC leadership as 75 per cent communities benefited from dividends of democracy.
