Shehu Sani, the lawmaker representing Kaduna Central in the National Assembly, on Wednesday reacted as President Muhammadu Buhari and Senator Godswill Akpabio rejected the outcome of the just concluded National Assembly election in the state.
Akpabio lost the just concluded National Assembly election for Akwa Ibom North West senatorial district to Engr. Chris Ekpenyong.
Reacting to the result declared, Buhari had said Akpabio was robbed of his mandate but it would be reclaimed.
Buhari, who was represented by his Deputy, Yemi Osinbajo stated this during a town hall meeting held in Uyo to thank the people of the state for casting their votes for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the elections.
Reacting to Buhari and Akpabio’s rejection, Sani said others also have the right to reject the outcome of the election like Buhari and Akapbio.
In a series of tweets, Sani wrote: “The President and Senator Godswill Akpabio rejected and Condemned the outcome of the National Assembly elections in Akwa Ibom state as robbery. They have the right;so does every Nigerian have the right to reject and condemn electoral fraud.
“Drinking poison or dangerous driving to celebrate political victory is an abominable and condemnable act.Its not the way the families of the political elites celebrate. However,May the soul of the deceased Rest In Peace.”
