Nigeria Election Result: APC wins 2 senatorial seats, 6 reps in Osun, as hoodlums attack INEC office

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has won in the senatorial districts of Osun West and Osun Central of the State, and six Federal Constituencies.

While the former Attorney General in the state, Dr. Ajibola Bashir of APC defeated former Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Gani Olaoluwa in the Central, Eng. Adelere Oriolowo of APC defeated the former Commissioner of National Population Commission, NPC, Akogun Lere Oyewunmi of the PDP in the West.

The retired Assistant Comptroller General of Customs, Prince Francis Fadahunsi of PDP was declared winner for Osun East senatorial district seat.

Others are Hon Femi Fakeye for Ila Federal constituency, Rasheed Afolabi for Ifelodun Federal constituency, Taiwo Oluga, for Irewole Federal constituency,

Hon Yinusa Amobi, for Iwo Constituency, Lawrence Ayeni, Ilesa South Federal Constituency, and Bukola Oyewo for Osogbo Federal Constituency.

Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC’s Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Mr Segun Agbaje has confirmed attack on the office of the Commission at Ijebu -ijesha, in the Oriade Local Government.

According to Agbaje, some hoodlums around 3am Sunday morning broke into the office and set voting materials ablaze, including a generating set.
