Nigeria election result: APC sweeps two senatorial, 10 Reps seats in Jigawa

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has announced the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidates as winners of Jigawa North-east, North-west senatorial zones and 10 House of Representatives seats.

The returning officer, Ahmad Baita Farko announced Barrister Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia, who was Jigawa state Deputy Governor, as the candidate that emerged winner of the Jigawa North East senatorial seat.

He scored 184,185 votes to defeat his closest rival, Senator Ubali Shitu of PDP, who scored 103,039 votes, and came from the same Hadejia local government.

Senator Shitu won his senatorial seat in 2015 under the umbrella of the All Progressives Congress, APC, before he decamped to the People’s Democratic party PDP along with the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, and other senators recently.

Jigawa North East consist of eight local government including; Auyo ,Birniwa ,Guri, Hadejia ,Kaugama, Kafin-Hausa ,K/Kassamma ,M/Masori.

Also INEC has announced Sen. Danladi A Sankara as the winner for Jigawa North West senatorial seat.

INEC declared Sankara of the APC with 286,655 as a winner against his opponent Nasiru Umar Roni of PDP with 120, 314 votes.

Jigawa North West include: Babura; Gagarawa; Garki; Gwiwa; Kazaure; Maigatari; Roni; Ringinlm; S/Tankarkar; Taura; Yankwashi; Gumel local governments.

Results for Jigawa North Central zone is not completed yet.

Meanwhile The Independent National Electoral Commission has officially announced the All Progressive Congress APC as the Winners of the eight house of Representatives seats out of eleven in the state.

Some of the results so far declared for the House of Representatives in Jigawa state includes; Jahun Miga Federal constituency Alhaji Saidu Yusif Miga of APC scored 55,241 votes ,Dr Tafida Abubakar of PDP scored 28,707 votes.

Hadejia /Auyo/ Kafin Hausa Federal constituency Alhaji Ibrahim Usman Kamfani of APC scored 70,388 votes Alhaji Jibrin Yusif Babangida of PDP scored 34,143 votes.

Mallam Madori/Kaugama Federal constituency Alhaji Abubakar Makki Yalleman of APC scored 47,125 votes Alhaji Yusif Sale Dunari of PDP scored 24,802 votes.

Gagarawa/Gumel/Maigatari/Suletankarkar Federal constituency Alhaji Nazifi Sani of APC scored 75, 975 votes, Alhaji Nasiru Muhamamd sparrow of PDP scored 38, 881 votes.

Kirikasamma/Birniwa/Guri federal constituency Dr Abubakar Hassan Fulata of APC scored 63,884 votes Alhaji Abba Daguro of PDP scored 25,447 votes Alhaji Abba Anas Adamu of SDP scored 5,349 votes.

Engr magaji representing birnin kudu/ buji federal constituency of the APC received 62,413 votes while his opponent of the Peoples Democratic party PDP Ali Tukur Gantsa who bagged 41,832 votes.

Others include Ringim and Taura federal constituency were the All Progressive Congress APC Ado Sank Kiri emerged victorious with 77,889 votes against his opponent of the Peoples Democratic party Gambo Ibrahim Gujungu who bagged 36,043 votes.

Dutse/Kiyawa Federal constituency Ibrahim Kyamba Madobi of the All progressive Congress APC scored scored 66,428 against PDP candidate with 37,043 votes.

Kazaure/Roni /Gwiwa/Yankwashi federal constituency Muhammad Gudaji Kazaure of APC scored 69,288 votes while Aminu Aminu of PDP scored 18.953 Votes

Babura /Garki Federal constituency Muhammad Adamu fagen Gawo of APC scored 62,452 votes while Nasiru Garba Dantiye of PDP scored 24,554 votes and Kaloma Dahiru Mustapha of SDP scored 13,211.

Jigawa state consists of eleven federal House of Representatives seat even as one house of reps result for Gwaram was not yet completed as at press time.
