The Presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore, won his polling unit on Saturday, during the presidential election.
Sowore, who cast his vote in Kiribo in Ese – Odo local government area of Ondo State, defeated President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as well as the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar.
According to results pasted at the Polling Unit 005, Apoi Ward ll of the local government area of the state, Sowore’s party, AAC pulled total of 208 votes, while APC came second with 82 votes, with the PDP coming behind with a distant third of 11 votes.
Sowore, who is also the founder of the Take it Back movement, had earlier hailed the turnout of voters in his ward as well as the professionalism of officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
