Nigeria decides: Jang hopes INEC will acquit self as Bagos advocates electronic voting

A former Governor of Plateau State and Senator representing Plateau North, Jonah Jang, has expressed hopes that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will acquit itself of any blame at the end of the rescheduled elections.

Jang stated after casting his vote in company of his wife at Ladura, in Jos LGA of the State.

He said, “Frankly speaking, even though I have few complaints of arrival of materials, but I’m told that they are being corrected.

“It looks as if INEC wants to acquit itself, but I pray that they really acquit themselves so that at the end of the day, we will be able to clap for them.”

Also speaking, a candidate for the House of Representatives seat, for Jos South/Jos East Constituency, Dachung Bagos advocated the use of electronic voting in Nigeria.

He stated this after casting his vote in Hwolshe, Jos.

Bagos said, “Technology is what is envogue, so electronic voting is what Nigeria needs to look into, only if we have the capability and the ability to check hacking among other challenges that may accompany its implementation and also safeguard the process.

“If Nigeria is to be counted among the community of technology advanced nation’s, there is a need for the country to adopt the electronic voting system,” he added.
