Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, condemned the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to declare States where the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, was cruising to victory in the March 9 gubernatorial election as inconclusive.
DAILY POST had reported that the governorship election in Bauchi, Sokoto, Adamawa, Plateau were declared inconclusive because the margins between the winners and the opponents were less than the total number of votes cancelled in some polling units.
But reacting, Fani- Kayode in a tweet on Monday accused INEC of a double standard.
He said, ”Most states that @OfficialPDPNig have won are suddenly being declared inconclusive. With what INEC has done all over the country, all I can say is may God save Nigeria.
”Adamawa, Plateau, Kano, Bauchi and Sokoto declared inconclusive. Rivers and Delta results suspended.
”INEC has declared elections inconclusive in 5 states where APC is losing and suspended announcement of results in 3 states where PDP is winning.
”Osun State formula ACTIVATED. Meanwhile congrats to the PDP and our candidates in all the states that we prevailed. You have done us proud.”
