Governor Sullivan Chime of Enugu State has congratulated the President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress on his victory at the presidential elections describing it as a refection of the wishes of the majority of Nigerians.
The Governor, who stated this in a message signed by his Chief Press, Chukwudi Achife, said that General Buhari’s victory was a product of a credible democratic process which has brought much credit to the country and to Nigerians as a people.
Governor Chime wished the President -elect a successful tenure as President and Commander-in Chief of the Country and urged him to lead with fairness, justice and unreserved dedication to the progress and unity of the country.
He also commended President Goodluck Jonathan for his prompt acceptance of the outcome of the elections saying that he demonstrated true statesmanship, patriotism and selflessness that was worthy of emulation by all politicians in the country.
The Enugu State Governor finally commended the Independent National Electoral Commission and Nigerians as a whole for the successful and peaceful conduct of the elections and called on them to continue to build on the progress that has been made.
