The Director of Media and Publicity of the Peoples Democratic Party’s Presidential Campaign Organization, Femi Fani Kayode has refuted the report that he lost his ward to the All Progressives Congress in the ongoing general elections.
Unofficial results released online last night show that the former aviation minister was beaten hands down behind his corridor.
Reacting to the online result via a Facebook post on Sunday morning, Fani said the PDP won his ward and local government victoriously.
He wrote, “My polling unit is St. Gabriels in Ife. The PDP won reps 359/87, Senate 378/79,Presidency 368/48. Jonathan and PDP trounced Buhari in Ile Ife. Congrats to our candidate for the House of Reps in Ile-Ife, Albert Adeogun.
“He defeated the APC candidate hands down. GEJ has won every ward in my 4 local government areas of Ile Ife in Osun state.
“Shame on the APC and shame on PremiumTimes and Leadership newspaper who falsely reported that GEJ lost in my polling unit, ward and LGA. We trounced Buhari in all.”
