The All Progressives Congress, APC, has won the polling unit of former President Olusegun Obasanjo in Saturday’s presidential and National Assembly elections, beating the ex-president’s estranged party, the Peoples Democratic Party, to the second place.
APC polled 100 votes in the presidential poll, while the PDP got 16 at Ward 11, Unit 2, Shokori in Abeokuta North Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The APC also put up a good showing at the Senatorial election by garnering 93 votes against the eight votes got by the PDP. The Social Democratic Party got 15 votes while the Peoples Party of Nigeria got two.
The majority votes for the House of Representatives equally went in the direction of the APC, which polled 98 votes while the PDP again got eight votes. Twelve votes were recorded for the SDP.
