There is palpable anxiety in Enugu State over the delay in the release of presidential and national assembly elections.
DAILY POST correspondent reports that efforts made to obtain the results of the elections have been futile.
At the three senatorial zones in the State- Enugu North, Enugu West and Enugu East, none of the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, is on hand to give a situation report on the result.
This is even as the election was concluded in all the electoral wards in the State yesterday.
The situation has created serious tension in the State, especially in Enugu East where the senatorial candidate of the PDC, Senator Chimaroke Nnamani is said to be on a close run with the incumbent Senator, Gilbert Nnaji of the PDP.
