The Senior Pastor of Awaiting The Second Coming Of Jesus Christ Gospel Church, Adewale Giwa, has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to nullify the entire results of the Saturday’s elections.”

Giwa made the call while describing the just-concluded Presidential and National Assembly elections as the worst in the history of Nigeria.

In a statement he personally signed and forwarded to DAILY POST on Saturday night, the cleric expressed disappointment over the conduct of the elections across the country.

The statement reads: “It’s a big shame on our side as a nation called ‘giant of Africa’ as we have failed to organise a peaceful poll.

“The just-concluded elections marred with killings, hijack of ballot boxes, harassment and vote buying.

“Why are we killing ourselves because of position, money and material things that cannot last?

“What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? Certainly no!

“How can God hear our cries in Nigeria when political leaders who are supposed to lead us are desperate for power and killing innocent people?

“We must not deceive ourselves again. It will be very difficult for God to turn things around in Nigeria if our political leaders fail to change for good. “
