The Niger/Kwara/Kogi Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), now has a new Customs Area Comptroller.

He is Comptroller Abba-Kaseem Yusuf.

The command made this known through a statement sent to DAILY POST on Wednesday by Mr. Benjamin Lomba, Public Relations Officers (PRO) of Niger/Kwara/Kogi Customs command.

Lomba in the statement added that the new comptroller was until his deployment to Niger/Kwara/Kogi, in charge of Kano/Jigawa command.

The outgoing comptroller, Benjamin Binga at a brief handing over ceremony held at the command headquarters in Minna, Niger State appealed to officers and men of the command to extend the same support and cooperation he enjoyed to his successor, Abba-Kaseem.

Lomba said, “Comptroller Abba-Kaseem, a native of Kaduna State took over from Comptroller Binga Benjamin who has redeployed to the Nigeria Customs Zone “A” Enforcement Office in Lagos State in the recent posting released by the Customs Headquarters in Abuja.

“Binga appealed to officers and men of the Command to extend the same support and cooperation he enjoyed to his successor.

“Meanwhile, Abba-Kaseem Yusuf reported on Monday, 13th August in the Command, until then he was in charge of Kano/Jigawa Area Command.

He told officers at the Command that his intention was to consolidate on the achievement of his predecessor.

The new comptroller said, “We have to intensify efforts to collect maximum revenue and suppress smuggling to the barest minimum. My predecessor has done a great job and I intend to do even more”.

He urged all officers to imbibe the culture of transparency and professionalism while discharging their responsibilities, warning that any act of negative conduct among officers would not be tolerated.
