Niger State Governor, Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, on Friday named supervisory Commissioners to replace those that quit the state executive council two weeks ago.
Announcing this at the post Executive Council meeting press briefing, Commissioner for Information in the state, Danladi Ndayebo, noted that he now supervises the Ministry of Environment, Parks, Gardens and Forest Resources.
He pointed out that the Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Prof. Muhammed Kuta Yahaya is now to be in charge of the Ministry of Tertiary Education, while the Commissioner for Special Duties, Dr. Joshua Bawa is to take over the Science and Technology ministry.
Also, by the announcement, while the Commissioner of Health and Hospital Services, Hajiya Hadiza Abdullahi will coordinate activities in the Ministry of Gender Affairs and Social Development, the Commissioner for Youth Development, Alhaji Abubakar Garba Mohammed will oversee the portfolio of the Commissioner of Sports.
