Barely a day after the new militant group, Niger Delta Avengers gave a two-week ultimatum for oil firms operating in the region to shut down operations, an explosion on Friday rocked Chevron Nigeria Limited’s facility.
The company had in the last few weeks recorded several attacks on its installations, for which the militants claimed responsibility.
Friday’s attack occurred in the Marakaba line operated by the oil firm in Warri, Delta State. The Nation reports that explosive was detonated on oil well head 10 on the Makaraba line.
