NFF to sack Keshi if found guilty of applying for Cote d’Ivoire job

Super Eagles handler, Stephen Keshi, may be fired if the Nigeria Football Federation Disciplinary Committee, confirm that he indeed applied for the vacant role of Cote d’Ivoire”s coach.

The Big Boss’ name appeared on a 59-man shortlist for the role, but he has since denied any wrongdoing, claiming that an unnamed agent sent in the application.

Iyke Igbokwe, a member of the Disciplinary Committee, has said that they will recommend for Keshi to be sacked if he is found guilty.

Igbokwe said: “If it is proved that he indeed applied to coach Ivory Coast when he is still coaching the Super Eagles, then that is a breach of trust.

“We will then recommend (to the executive committee) that he be relieved of his job.”

Keshi only signed a two-year deal to continue as coach of Nigeria in April 2015.
