NFF to construct 3-star hotel

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), has stepped up plans to erect a three-star hotel in Package B of the Abuja National Stadium complex, many years after the idea was first mooted.

Vice-president of the federation, Seyi Akinwunmi, visited the proposed site of the project this week.

The purpose of the hotel, which is expected to have 60 rooms, is to ease the huge expenditure incurred by the NFF on accomodating various national teams in Abuja hotels.

“We spent many millions any time any of the national teams are in training camp in Abuja,” a top official told AfricanFootball.

When completed, it will be similar to the hotel constructed by the Ghana Football Association (GFA), at their FIFA Goal Project in
