The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have not accepted the shift in date by FIFA, for the Super Eagles’ 2018 World Cup qualifier against Cameroon in Uyo.
The world football governing body, has moved the date from September 1 to August 30, because of issues bordering on television broadcast.
Nigeria have, however, not responded to the new date communicated to them last week, as they hope to persuade FIFA not to move the match backward.
NFF sources say a fresh request will be sent, for the game to go on September 1.
It is expected to be submitted to FIFA later this week for consideration.
