NFF re-confirms Nigeria vs Uganda friendly

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), has again confirmed that Wednesday’s international friendly match between the Super Eagles and Uganda, will be played at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium in Uyo.

“We have been discussing with the Government of Akwa Ibom State over the past few months and nothing has changed. We appreciate the keen interest of His Excellency, Governor Godswill Akpabio in the development of Nigeria football and also the good people of Akwa Ibom State for their ready hospitality at all times,” NFF President Amaju Pinnick said on Monday.

“We have never had any problem with the Government of Akwa Ibom State. They are desirous of hosting big games at the marvelous venue that everyone calls the Nest of Champions.”

The Ugandan delegation have already arrived in the country aboard an Ethiopian Airline on Monday and will be accomodated at the Le Meridien Hotel in Uyo.

Kick-off time for the Wednesday’s game is 6pm.
