Cash-strapped Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), were only able to pay each player of the Super Eagles $400 as allowances, for their trip to Alexandria, Egypt.

This is way below the $1,000 each player usually receives for an away game.

It is also understood that each member of the squad, was paid the naira equivalent of $2,500 after the 1-1 draw with Egypt in Kaduna last Friday.

“Most of the players were unhappy with how they were treated as everyone was for himself after the match in Egypt,” a source informed AfricanFootball.com

Nigerian players were paid up to $10,000 a man at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
