After two days of deliberations, the Nigeria Football Federation, have told Warri Wolves and Rangers to reach an agreement over the ownershipof AFCON revelation, Sunday Mba.
The two NPL clubs, have both laid claim to the 24-year-old midfielder and the NFF could not resolve the matter in favour of either club.
“We have asked both clubs to go and resolve the issues surrounding the ownership of the player,” Sanusi Mohammed, who led the committee said.
“We have given them until next week to reach a gentleman agreement, but if they fail to sort it out the federation would make a pronouncement.”
Spokesman for Rangers, Foster Chime, confirmed the NFF’s verdict saying, “Our lawyers and those of Warri Wolves are already meeting to find the best ways to resolve the issue.”
Mba, The player at the centre of the storm, has strongly insisted at several times that he belongs to Rangers and was presented at a media event in Enugu, along with the club’s new signings.
