Nigeria vs South Africa AFCONQ in Uyo

Marketing director of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Idris Adama, has revealed that the federation is in talks with other kit manufactures, as the Adidas deal expires this month.

“We are speaking with other kit giants but we are also looking for a better deal,” he said.

Adama also confirmed that Adidas are not likely to renew the four-year deal which officially ends on December 31, 2014.

“Our contract with adidas is still running. It’s a four-year contract that would run until December 2014,” he continued.

“Adidas has indicated interest to extend the contract, but that was before the 2014 World Cup.

“We did the necessary paper works, but unfortunately we are yet to hear from them and with the way it stands, if we don’t hear from them by 31st December, it means we are no longer in contract with adidas.

“And even though we have enough kits that would last till 2015, it would be illegal for us to wear any adidas kit from January 1, 2015.”
