The Super Eagles duo of Vincent Enyeama and Onazi Ogenyi, have been cleared of disciplinary issues by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
Nigeria captain Enyeama, had questioned the decision to play an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Chad in Kaduna and reportedly tore the query from the NFF afterwards.
Speaking at Sunday Oliseh’s unveiling on Wednesday, the Chairman of Nigeria Football Federation Disciplinary Committee, Barrister Chris Green, said: “The fact that the NFF had been silent after the panel sat and looked into his case means that he has been forgiven and he’s now free to play for the Super Eagles.
“Enyeama’s case has been looked into and he has been cleared and can go ahead to lead the Eagles in the next match of the 2017 AFCON qualifiers.”
Green also revealed that Onazi will not be required to pay a $5,000 fine, which was punishment for getting sent off in the game against Chad.
“Ogenyi Onazi’s $5,000 fine has been waived and he has also been cleared to play for the Eagles after serving out his two game ban,” he added.
