Former Nigeria international, Chief Segun Odegbami, has been endorsed by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), as the country’s candidate at next year’s FIFA elections.
According to Complete Sports, Odegbami was given the go-ahead on Friday, to be Nigeria’s sole representative.
Former Abia Governor, Chief Orji Uzor Kalu, was also interested in the top job at the world football governing body, but now appears to be out of the running.
“I haver only been hearing it, many people have been calling to ask but I have not been called officially from the FA but I hope it is true,” Odegbami said.
The election will hold February 26 in Switzerland.
