The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), has denied reports that coach Sunday Oliseh spent $4,000 of his personal money, to feed players of the Super Eagles squad, during their training in Pretoria, South Africa.
Oliseh was also sent a query, to explain why the team exited the African Nations Championship at the group stage and his comments after the defeat to Guinea.
The former national team captain, had claimed that lack of motivation was behind their poor performance at the tournament.
But General Secretary of NFF, Dr. Sanusi Mohammed, in his reaction said: “It is not true that Oliseh spent his hard earned $4,000 to feed the team in their Pretoria camp before CHAN. We are not aware of that.
“We paid for their camping at the South African High Performance training centre in Pretoria and this also covered lodging and feeding for the two weeks the team spent there. We had no report from the centre of not feeding them properly, so how did he spend his money to feed the team?”
