NFF approves Keshi’s new contract

President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick, has confirmed that they have approved the re-appointment of Stephen Keshi as Super Eagles coach.

Pinnick disclosed this on Wednesday during the half time of the international friendly match in Uyo, where Super Eagles lost 1-0 to Uganda.

“The executive committee of the NFF met today (Wednesday) and approved the recommendation of the technical committee for Keshi to continue as the country’s coach,” he said.

“It is now just left for Keshi to sign on the dotted lines.”

Keshi’s new deal is understood to be worth N5 million per month and will run for two years. The 53-year-old will also get N3 million for accommodation and N500, 000 for transportation.

The Big Boss has been locked in a standoff with the NFF, since his former contract expired at the end of the 2014 World Cup.
