Brazil legend, Cafu, has tipped his compatriot, Neymar, as the player that will eventually break the duopoly between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
On Monday night, Ronaldo was named as The Best FIFA Men’s Player for 2016, beating Messi and Antoine Griezmann to the award.
No player other than Messi or Ronaldo have won the Ballon d’Or since 2008.
Cafu feels that Neymar, who is only 24, will become the world’s best player in a matter of years.
“Neymar is not far from them,” he said.
“I’m sure in the next few years he’ll be playing as the best in the world.”
