Paris Saint-Germain president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, has said there is no rift between Neymar and Edinson Cavani and blamed the media for exaggerating the matter.
Neymar and Cavani had a dispute over a second-half free-kick in the 2-0 win over Lyon on Sunday in Ligue 1.
Both players then argued over a penalty late in the game, which the Uruguay striker took and missed.
There were reports that Neymar and Cavani had to be separated in the dressing room after the final whistle, but speaking to RMC, Al-Khelaifi said: “No, there’s nothing. It’s you, the media, who are making problems.”
French publication, L’Equipe, is now reporting that PSG’s sporting Director, Antero Henrique and coach Unai Emery, will meet with both players on Wednesday afternoon.
