It has emerged that Neymar approached Paris Saint-Germain about the possibility of a move this summer, after turning down the Ligue 1 giants last year.
PSG tried to sign the 25-year-old last summer, but Neymar decided to stay at the Camp Nou.
However, this year, he decided to leave Barcelona, in a bid to escape from Lionel Messi’s shadow.
Spanish football expert, Guillem Balague, wrote on his Twitter page on Thursday: “Neymar asked PSG this summer if last year’s offer stood. (Manchester) City, Chelsea, Manchester United also showed interest last summer but Neymar wanted only PSG.”
The Brazilian has passed his medicals with PSG and they are expected to pay his €222million release clause in full, before the transfer can be completed.
