Neymar’s PSG debut faces more delays as Barcelona refuse to send paperwork

Neymar may be forced to wait to make his eagerly anticipated Paris Saint-Germain debut against Guingamp on Saturday, as Barcelona are yet to send paperwork for his transfer.

The Brazilian forward completed a world record-breaking £200million move last week and had hoped to be available for PSG’s Ligue 1 opener against Amiens SC last Saturday.

But Neymar wasn’t registered in time and had to watch his new teammates win 2-0 from the Parc des Princes stands.

According to French publication, L’Equipe, Neymar may be forced to sit out this weekend’s game again, as the French Football Federation is yet to receive his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) from its Spanish counterpart.

A source claims Barcelona has allegedly not yet given Spain’s football federation permission to send it.

FIFA rules stipulate that Barcelona have 15 days from the initial request to send over the papers.
