Neymar’s father claims Real Madrid wanted to buy him for £116m

According to Neymar’s father, Real Madrid were willing to pay up to £116m, for his son to move to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Speaking to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo, he claimed that Neymar turned down the lucrative move and chose to join Barcelona in a deal worth £50m.
The Brazilian forward’s transfer from Santos to the Nou Camp is currently under investigation, with Spanish authorities accusing the Catalan club of tax fraud.
Neymar’s father is currently in court to defend the contracts signed with Barcelona.
The 22-year-old scored 13 times in his first season in Spain and has already bagged a hat-trick against Malaga this term.
