The newly inaugurated Vice Chairman of Irepo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Oyo State, Mr. Adeyemo Ojedele is dead.
Ojedele was among the 68 Chairmen and Vice Chairmen elected at the local government election held across the 33 local government areas and 35 local council development areas in the state last Saturday.
The deceased, DAILY POST reports was among the new Chairmen and Vice Chairmen inaugurated at the House of Chiefs Secretariat Ibadan, the state capital by Governor Abiola Ajimobi of the state on Monday.
DAILY POST gathered Tuesday morning that Adeyemo while returning from the swearing-in ceremony in Ibadan had an accident along Ogbomoso-Igbeti road in the Oke Ogun Area of the State.
Ojedele died alongside one of his close aides, identified as Adediwura.
Other occupants of the vehicle, it was learnt, are still receiving treatments as a result of various injuries they sustained.
However, all efforts to get the reactions of the Chairman of the LCDA, Mr. Asifu Adediran have proved abortive as of the time of filling this report.
