New Watford coach orders Ighalo, Success to stay in hotel for pre-season

The Nigerian duo of Odion Ighalo and Isaac Success, have been ordered to stay in the team hotel for the rest of July, as they continue to prepare for the new Premier League season.

Walter Mazzarri has been appointed the new manager of the Hornets, after Quique Sanchez Flores left the club at the end of the 2015/2016 season.

Mazzarri has signed a three-year deal at Vicarage Road and becomes the Hornets’ eighth manager in the last four years. The Italian is however keen to make his mark quickly.

“We have been staying in a hotel, going back and forth from the training ground,” Jerome Sinclair, who joined Watford from Liverpool last month, revealed.

“We’ve all been staying together but I do not have a place down here anyway so it’s not been much different but for some of the lads, maybe they’re not so keen, but it’s OK.”
