Prof. Yakubu Muhktar, new Vice Chancellor of Yobe State University, assumed duty in Damaturu on Wednesday, warning the staff against financial and academic corruption.
Muhktar, who gave the warning while taking over from the former Vice- Chancellor, Prof. Musa Alabe, said his leadership would ensure accountability and probity in the financial and academic sectors of the institution.
Muhktar solicited the support of staff and students, adding that he would give special attention to academic excellence to uplift the university to a greater height.
