The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has sympathised with the victims of Friday’s bomb-blast in Gombe, where six people were feared dead and 10 sustained various degrees of injuries.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the incident occurred on Friday night around 7:30 pm in Arawa market of Gombe town.

NEMA’s Director-General, Alhaji Sani Sidi, sent Gombe State Operations Officer, Alhaji Saidu Mini, to sympathise with the victims at the Specialist Hospital, Gombe, on Saturday.

Mini told NAN that the Federal Government had supplied drugs for the victims of the previous explosions, advising that same be used to treat victims of the recent incident.

“We are here on behalf of the Director-General, NEMA, Alhaji Sani Mohammed Sidi, to sympathise with victims of bomb-blast which occurred at Arawa market in Gombe metropolis around 7. 30 p.m.

“Already, the Federal Government had donated drugs for the previous victims and the drugs are still available in the hospital. We suggested that the same gesture should be extended to the recent victims,” he said.

He described the incident as unfortunate and called on the public, to be vigilant, to enable them forestall future recurrence.
