NECO: Oluwawole commends Fayose

Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Right Honourable (Pastor) Kola Oluwawole, has lauded the state governor, Chief Ayodele Fayose; and his deputy, Professor Kolapo Olusola, over the sterling performance in the state’s educational sector for the second year running. In a statement by his Special Assistant (Media), Stephen Gbadamosi, in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, on Friday, the Speaker also felicitated with the teachers in the state as well as parents and their students.

The lawmaker observed that the performance of the state in National Examination Council (NECO) by coming first in two straight years was a confirmation that the achievement was not a fluke, adding that the government’s team was a winning one.

“When the state achieved that feat in 2016, some detractors thought it was a fluke. But those of us that took part in the education summit organized by His Excellency, the governor, Dr Peter Ayodele Fayose, shortly after he was sworn in as governor know what we input in the system. The repetition of the same feat this year shows that we have a solid and winning team.

“I congratulate the governor and his deputy, Professor Kolapo Olusola, who supervises the education sector in conjunction with the Commissioner For Education, Mr Jide Egunjobi. Our teachers have also done well. They have not let the investments of Mr Governor in their profession go unaccounted for. Kudos to them.

“I also commend our students, charge them to continue to take their studies seriously and justify our investments in them. Why congratulating the parents in Ekiti, I implore them to continue to support this administration and continue to key into its continuity agenda as developed by Governor Fayose. We must all realize that it is always counterproductive to change a winning team.

“I is our collective responsibility to put this state on the path of prosperity on all fronts. With God always on our side, I wish our state many more records of giant strides,” the Speaker said.
