Anambra State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency(NDLEA) has arrested a man, identified as a notorious drug dealer in Awka.
Odigie Charles Efosa, Public Relations Officer of the Anambra State command of the agency told DAILY POST that the man whose name was given as Chimezie Okoye was arrested at Ifite Awka area of the state capital.
Odigie said, “He was popularly known as Don, and operates within the “5” decking area in Ifite Awka.
“Okoye Chimezie A.K.A Don was arrested with 6.5 grammes of methamphetamine and 3.3 kg of Cannabis Sativa (Skunk) at his God of grace lodge “5” decking in Awka on Saturday 25th May, 2019.”
He quoted the State Commander of NDLEA, Mr Momodu Sule, as saying that the suspect would be charged to court for prosecution, to serve as a deterrent to other drug dealers in the town.
Sule advised others involved in the illicit trade to either shun it or face the music as his command was ready to fight dealers of hard drugs in the State.
