The Bureau for Public Service Reforms, BPSR, has rated the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, as the best public sector in the country.
This is the outcome of a sequence of validation assessments of all Federal public sector organisations in Nigeria in which the NCC scored above 90 percent.
The Chief Executive Officer of NCC, Umar Garba Danbatta, received the PLATINUM Level award Tuesday morning on behalf of the Board and Management of NCC from Director of BPSR, Dr. Joe Abah.
Presenting the award to the NCC boss, Dr. Abah said the, “NCC performance was rated as far exceeding expectations due to exceptional high quality of work in all essential areas of responsibility resulting in an overall quality of work that was found to be superior, exceptional and unique.
“We are pleased to forward this certificate to NCC.”
The BPSR was established in February 2004 as an independent self-accounting body to initiate, coordinate and ensure full implementation of Government reform policies and programmes.
