Native doctor commits suicide in Enugu

The Police in Enugu State say investigation into the suicide committed by late Uzochukwu Princewill has commenced.

The deceased, who is said to be a renowned traditional medicine practitioner was found dead in his shop at the 9th Mile Corner, Enugu.

The native doctor’s lifeless body was found hanging on a rope, and tied to a ceiling fan hook inside his shop. Police spokesman in the state, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu who confirmed the incident said a thorough investigation was on-going to determine the true “cause of the incident”.

He added that the body of the deceased had been deposited at Our Saviour Hospital Mortuary, 9thmile Corner, Ngwo for post mortem examination.‬‬

In another development, a suspect identified as one Chibuzo Aboyi who claimed he is from Owo Village in Nkanu East local Government Area of Enugu State has been arrested over unlawful possession of firearm.

Amaraizu said the suspect was arrested by operatives of the NO 3 police Mobile Force of the Enugu State Police command, along Enugu Abakiliki Expressway.

“He was nabbed when an L300, yellow in colour, with registration number, XA 985 JEN, conveying him was stopped and searched and a locally made double barrel pistol was recovered from him”, the PPRO stated.
