Umaru Tanko Al-Makura
The Nassarawa State Governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura on Sunday adopted a 6-year-old physically challenged male-child.
He equally promised to sponsor the boy, Samaila Dantani, from primary through university education.
The boy was said to have been sighted by the governor who was inspecting a flood area in Bukan-Sidi along Jos road in Lafia, the state capital and he also received a cash donation of N50,000 from the governor.
Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Alhaji Ahmed Tukur, who confirmed the gesture said, the governor had promised to take care of the boy’s education needs.
The Special Assistant also disclosed that the Governor gave Dantani a tricycle, adding that the boy would be under his care.
