Nasarawa State Governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura has disclosed that the caucus of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as well as the Board of Trustees (BoT) will meet tomorrow over the leadership crisis in the National Assembly.

Al-Makura stated this yesterday in an interview with journalists in Lafia.

The governor, who described the crisis as unfortunate, expressed optimism that the meeting will resolve the differences threatening the unity of the party.

“There is nothing abnormal about what happened, it is politics because APC is a conglomerate of different interests,” he said.

“I consider what happened in the National Assembly as something natural and in spite of the bad blood that was generated during the elections we remain one family”, he added.

He assured that leaders of the party will find a lasting solution to the problem and ensure that the crisis do not split the party.

“The party caucus and BoT have been invited for a meeting which I believe is a away forward in finding lasting solution.”

On the emergence of Bukola Saraki as Senate President against the party’s choice of and Ahmed Lawan, Al-Makura said “We in APC consider Saraki and lawan as brothers, Dogara and Gbajabiamila as brothers”.
