President Goodluck Jonathan on Sunday said Nigerians should expect a better performance from him in 2013.

He made the pledge in Kaduna at the foundation laying ceremony of the Bible College of Living Faith , aka Winners Chapel.

The president said that despite the challenges facing his administration, plans were underway to implement policies that would affect their lives positively.

“Let me assure all of you and indeed all Nigerians that 2013 will be better for us than 2012 in all aspects of the nation’s history.

“The New Year shall be better for us in terms of job creation, wealth creation and improved security among others.”

“Sometimes, challenges make people doubt the sincerity of the government, but I am confident that God knows everything.”

The president stated that security agencies were on top of the violence in some parts of the North, adding that more opportunities would be created to address youth restiveness.

On the trauma commuters face daily on highways, Jonathan said his administration had embarked on massive intervention in road construction, upgrading of airports and rail lines.

He promised improved power supply in the coming year, stressing that “Small scale businesses such as barbing salons cannot continue to buy generators to operate and break even. My wish is for Nigerians not to have generating sets.”
