Muslim Students Society of Nigeria (MSSN), has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to suspend the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir David Lawal and acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu over their indictment by the Senate.
Recall that a former President of the Senate, Sen. Adolphus Wabara, had asked the duo to resign.
President of MSSN, Muhammad Jameel Muhammad, made the call at the opening ceremony of the 74th Islamic Vacation Course organized by the association in Gombe.
He said suspension of both office holders would allow relevant agencies carry out thorough investigation without any interference.
Meanwhile, Muhammad said the association was also supporting the proposed bill before the National Assembly for the creation of Christian courts in the country.
“The MSSN is supporting the national assembly in its moves to pass the proposed bill into law on the establishment of Christian court, because as Muslims our religion recognizes and respects the rights of others.
“We look forward to the time when the followers of every religion under the full protection of the laws of the land,” he said.
In his remark, Sultan of Sokoto, represented by Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu, lamented the level of corrupt practices and moral decadence in the country.
He advised the youths to always engage in positive acts that would uplift the image of Nigeria.
