Musa Asake: CAN, family release burial activities for late scribe

The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, has announced funeral arrangement for its late General Secretary, Dr. Musa Asake.

CAN spokesman, Pastor Bayo Oladeji, in a statement on Tuesday said the body was still in shock over his passing.

Oladeji confirmed that the burial activities was jointly put together with the family of the deceased.

He announced John Kennedy Opara (OFR) as Chairman, Burial Planning Committee.

The statement reads: “You will recall the demise of the late General Secretary of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev Dr Musa Asake, which took place in the early morning of 11 May, 2018.

“The family and CAN have jointly planned and lined up some activities to give him a befitting burial as a God’s General who died on active duty.

“The final journey back home of Dr Asake is listed below and you are hereby invited to cover the event especially the SERVICE OF SONGS holding today at the National Christian Centre, Abuja @ 4:00pm.

“THE FUNERAL PROGRAM IS AS FOLLOWS: Tuesday 5th June, 2018 – Interdenominational Service of Songs/Tribute Venue: National Christian Centre, Abuja Time: 4.00pm Wednesday 6th June, 2018 – Commendation Service – Venue: National Christian Centre, Abuja – Time: 9.00am Thursday 7th June, 2018 – Wake Keep/ Service of Songs – Venue: Angwar Rimi, Zango Kataf Local Government, Kaduna State. – Time: 3.00pm Friday 8th June, 2018 – Interdenominational Funeral Service – Venue: Kafanchan Township Stadium – Time: 10.am Interment follows immediately after Service at Asake family compound, Angwar Rimi, Zango Kataf Local Government, Kaduna State.”
