MPPP moves to engage in merger talks with APC

MEGA Progressive Peoples Party, MPPP, rose from a two-day National Executive Council meeting held in Lagos during the weekend, expressing their readiness to go into merger dialogue with All Progressive Congress, APC, in their effort to dethrone the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,come 2015.

This development followed the suspension of the party’s national secretary, Mr. Hamisu Santuraki, who was accused of anti-party activities, among other suspicious acts.

Speaking after the party’s congress, the National Chairman, Rasheed Shitta-Bay, said it was high time the progressive got united under a strong political platform to make a change in the nation’s polity.
