Mourinho warns De Gea not to be distracted by Real Madrid speculation

Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, has warned David De Gea, that he cannot be distracted by speculation linking him with a summer move to Real Madrid.

Mourinho says the Spanish goalkeeper should concentrate on United’s crucial remaining games for the season.

De Gea missed United’s win over Sunderland last weekend and his manager explained he was left out because of “a little injury”.

“I am not interested in the speculation, I think if the player is [affected by it], he shouldn’t, because we are playing very important games and every match is crucial in the Premier League.

“If we lose a match, the top four gets almost impossible, in the Europa League if we lose a match we are in trouble, so every match demands from every one of us top focus.

“I don’t see that being a problem with David. The end of season is a time where players can be – can be – thinking about their future,” Mourinho said.
