“Mourinho wants me at Chelsea” – Higuain

Chelsea are the latest club, that have expressed interest in signing Gonzalo Higuain.

The Real Madrid striker was very close to joining London rivals Arsenal, but Florentino Perez increased his price tag at the last minute, a move which made Arsene Wenger hesitate.

It now appears that Jose Mourinho, who worked with the Argentina international at Madrid, is willing to hijack the move and take him to Stamford Bridge.

Higuain told Spanish paper, AS: “Mourinho wants me to go there [Chelsea].

“He wants me to join him at Chelsea.”

Mourinho had earlier this week insisted that it was either he signed Wayne Rooney from Manchester United or no one else and Chelsea have had a bid of around 22million rejected already.

Napoli are also interested in Higuain, who has three years left on his current deal.
