Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, has urged his players to be prepared to “bleed red” for the club, after he questioned some of his stars’ commitment.

Mourinho delivered the talk to his squad, before going public with criticism of some of his players.

According to MirrorSport, the Portuguese told his highly-paid stars, that playing for United is not about enjoying a wealthy lifestyle, but winning football games.

He then demanded they give everything to secure more victories.

It is understood that Mourinho made the comments, after they were defeated 2-1 by Fenerbahce in the Europa League.

The players responded with a 3-1 win over second-bottom Swansea in their last Premier League game before this international break. It was only their second win in their past eight top-flight games.

Ahead of Arsenal’s visit this weekend, the Old Trafford club are sixth on the table, eight points off leaders Liverpool.
