Manchester United boss, Jose Mourinho has refused to rule out a move for Benfica defender Victor Lindelof.

Mourinho, however, directed all transfer responsibilities to Manchester United chief executive Ed Woodward.

Mourinho has long been tipped to move for the Sweden international, with speculation linking the 22-year-old.

Benfica president, Luis Filipe Vieira was said to have held talks in Manchester in May ahead of a potential summer move for the player as well as full-back Nelson Semedo. The Portuguese gaffer told Mais Futebol, “I will not say if I want him or not, I think it’s incorrect.

“Rui (Vitória, Benfica manager) is not going to be happy with another club manager talking about a player who is his, the president would not be happy to see that.

“Lindelof is theirs and as long as he’s theirs, he’s theirs.”
